I went up to Yellowstone National Park with the intent of going to Lamar Valley. Up and earlier, before the sun rose. Horses fed and dog walked. Off I went. Easy drive, less than two hours. I entered through the West Yellowstone Gate. Off I went and came to halt a half mile in. Okay, what is it? bear jam? bison jam? or accident? Neither of the three really excited me. Well, after 3 hours, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, I never made it to Lamar Valley. For that matter, I never made it out of Madison Valley. Two hundred plus bison had clogged the road. I pulled over at the turned out and took a look at all bison. Lately, I have been making lemonade out of lemons. That day was no different. I did smirk at the gentleman from New Jersey, when he said “wasn’t that the coolest thing you ever saw?” I replied I live here year around and laughed, so did he. He asked, did you get any good pictures? You be the judge.
