Portraits of mule deer that I encountered migrating along the Gros Ventre River. He was the smallest one of the group. A bigger buck checking me out. He was the biggest buck of the herd, with his buddy trailing behind. Definitely a mature buck. My last pic as he walked by me.

As I was photographing the Grand Tetons, five cow elk migrated through on the sagebrush flats(foreground). As the snow melts, the elk will migrate to their traditional birthing grounds and summer ranges.
