The Enchanted Forest…
I spent a day hiking along the Gros Ventre River on a cold morning. The Enchanted Forest I encountered a lot of hoar frost along the way. Cottonwoods and hoar frost. Standing above the others. The tallest cottonwood tree I encountered.

Bighorn Sheep…
As I was moving along Miller Butte, I encountered a band of bighorn sheep. I had been waiting for them to return to their winter grounds, but we have had a very mild winter so far and they returned later than normal this year. Regal Pose. Walking right by me. Always nice to see them back.

Fishing Cone
I spent a morning along the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. The fog was thick that morning and visibility was very low. As I sat on a bench gazing into the fog, waiting to see if the fog might burn off, Fishing Cone burned through the fog and I photographed my opportunity. Historic Miller Ranch
I spent the morning at the National Elk Refuge looking for bighorn sheep on Miller Butte. I spotted a few bighorns at a distance, but nothing presented itself as a worthy photo opportunity.
